ADDING TO MY VOCABULARY I was watching Braveheart on HBO in the living room a few nights ago. I got sleepy and went to the bedroom to watch it until I fell asleep. The part of the movie that was playing was the first real battle. The battle that the freedom fighters used the spears to repel the heavy horses of the English forces. The fight raged on. The characters screamed, yelled and cursed. Cut to the a close up of William Wallace charging toward the English commander. His mane was flowing. He was wielding a two handed broad sword with only one hand. “BASSSS....TARRRRRRR.....DOOOOO!!!!!!!” he roared Then it hit me. Braveheart was speaking Spanish. In fact all of the characters were. I was so caught up in the action I had not noticed. I had selected HBO ESP instead of HBO1. On the bright side I had added a word to my Spanish vocabulary. I guess somethings need no translation. and if he was speakin southern english it would be "Basss-turd"...giggle Love that movie, but just can't stand the ending...Everytime I watch it I just can't believe that nobody swoops in there and saves him at the last minute. And it totally breaks my heart. *sigh* (And YES, I know "she's" there to welcome him to the other side, but that doesn't count...dammit) I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn

That's freaking hysterical, and something that would happen with me. I have been known to be, ahem, 'inattentive' about things at times. I've seen and/or been in my sister's car 20 times. Last weekend I drove it to the store to get some barbecuse supplies while she stayed behind. When I came out of the store, I realized that I did't know which car was hers!!! I did the only thing I could: I walked up and down the aisles pressing her remote until I found the car with the flashing lights. (insert smiley taking a bow emoticon here) Elevate me...

LOL I took spanish for 2 years and all I retained was me casa su casa LOL ,, Love the braveheart movie ,, Hugs Country A friend is someone that reaches for your hand and touches your heart !

One of my favorite movies also. You can't go wrong with a long haired Mel Gibson! I've seen it so many times that watching it in Spanish might be kind of fun...lol Redhot
