My first post Hi I am Tennbroad and this is my first attempt at making a blog. I still don't know what a blog is but i will try to say things that are on my mind. I am a black woman that loves white men but being in the South it ain't working. Well for some women it might work but for a plus size black woman, nope. I hope you will give me some insight on why it doesn't work or why it will work. Please be nice and if you can't say anything nice just move on. I don't need any more stress and no negativity. If I am doing something wrong or this is not the right forum for this let me know and if you have some helpful hints pass them along. As this progresses I will tell you my likes and dislikes. Might tell you about some of my sxual experiences if and when I have one. Pickins are slim right now. I hope you laugh and smile with me as I write about my search for the open minded male that is willing to take a change on a wonderful sexy black woman looking to break the age old taboo of interracial dating. Hi Tennbroad and welcome to Blogland!  Being from the South myself, I hear what you're saying. Unfortunately, I think the bigger issue isn't the race card, but weight. Sadly enough, for many men it's a big turn off. And as a BBW myself this upsets and hurts me. Like Maya Angelou says in "Wouldn't Take Nothin' For My Journey Now," I've learned to be attracted to all shapes, sizes and shades of men as long as they are good, kind, honesty and can tickle my intelligence and imagination! I'm constantly slapped in the face with the weight issue. What really upsets me is when I see extremely large and out of shape men--who claim to be "average" or "a few extra pounds" that will come right out in their profile and say how unattractive they find plus-sized women and only want "slender, fit athletic" women.  I'm no expert--else I'd be happily married to some wonderful guy already--but my advice would be to concentrate on making yourself feel good. The rest will follow after that. And if men overlook you and all the riches of experience, wisdom and heart you have to offer. . .well, the hell with them! They aren't worth your time. Now, to blogging, I guess you could call me an expert. . .being a writer for a living since I was 14.  I treat mine sort of like a magazine. I have a couple of running series of articles (Dating and Relationship Safety, and another about adding sensuality to your love life), I also have song lyrics, poetry, rants and raves, and the occasional roasting of yet another idiot who thought to impress me with his ignorance via email (I call this the Stupid Man Trick Contest).  It's just a great venue for your thoughts and emotions. I've found it much more therapeutic than many of the more conventional "coping" mechanisms available today. I think you will enjoy it, too. Plus, the best way to make friends on this site is here in Blogland.  And there are so many wonderful writers and survivors here.
