 I just started to join various groups and read blogs, even after being a member here for quite some time. I have found that some sort of connection first just makes the sex that much better. Even in meeting someone for the first time, and almost knowing a hookup is inevitable, having emailed and/or talked helps build a sexual tension. It sounds like you have discovered this truth too.
