Did you read the one about?.....................
Did you read the one about?..................... Was wondering.........yes, again, an affliction I have...... I do it all the time... but do others out there in A F F land read only current blogs posted or go into the writer's past blogs to find out more about them? I know it can be quite a challenge since some of us have been rambling and pontificating for quite a while. Tackling a random sampling of what we've written is a good start. It can give some really good insight into the writer, especially if it's someone you're interested in getting to know better. If not that, then it can amuse you, excite you, or possibly piss you off. |

When I discover a new blog, I often read thru them, to see if they are worth following...by the way, yours is

Looking at the profile photos and even just reading the profiles is a lot like walking past the windows of bordellos in Amsterdam, titillating, but you’re just seeing the outer appearance and such. Reading peoples blogs is like letting them finger your mind. It can be great fun; it can be creepy. No matter the experience, it is a better way of getting to know other people in cyberspace. (I don’t chat, but I suspect that experience would be too distracting and sexually charged—the way some people are distracted during 69, apparently). I come back to some people again and again and some people just merit the one encounter. Often it isn’t even that they aren’t interesting, its just they don’t spark you, same as in a real meet. Women on this site don’t have to try so much to attract attention, so someone who has an interesting point of view, writing style or subject matter is a rare delight. Actually, the fact that it’s a sex site offers its own problems—often the most interesting women are more wary because they have to shift through so much dross. And I find it surprising how ‘moral’ and judgmental people can be on this site. Like casually visiting a casino, if you’re really here to win the ‘big jackpot’ you’re gonna stress out, but the house will still be the winner at the end of the day. Cheers

I think that you are right on. It is amazing what you can learn about a person based on what they write and how they write.

I do go back and read older posts for all the reasons you state...it gives an insight into the person...

If the writer's style, wit, and sensibilities are entertaining and they truly are interesting, I'll peruse back a page or two.

Based on my blogs I think that people go back for a little ways to read old entries. The hit count on each entry usually tops out around 300 on most over a period of a month or two. What that means is that people probably read everything on the first page and part of the second before giving up.

i will certainly read past blogs if i like the topic or the style of the writer...
