Am I Becoming A Picky Chick? I think I used to be more open to meeting people than I am now. I read through profiles and emails with more scrutiny than I used. I don't know what I'm looking for exactly, but I know what I'm not looking for. I'm not as concerned about physical looks, but little things like where/how a picture was taken (i.e. posed by a motorcycle, car, or holding a fish), and what apparel was worn, to grammar, spelling, specific words used like "gal" and "my lady", and bragging about sexual expertise in detail, all make me think, he's not one for me. Sounds petty, but those type of things are indicators to me of what I would have in common with that person and the kind of chemistry that is possible...or not. I don't feel I'm being judgmental. They might be perfectly good men...but not men for me. I have become reluctant to meet....hell...I've become more reluctant to even give out my IM. Wondering after all these years if I've become too negative....or just turned into a picky chick?  |

Just don't give up. You have to keep searching and it will come to you what you really want.

I hear you! In my youth ( sigh ) I would sleep with about any female that would do the same with me. As I have aged, I too find myself not looking for the perfect body or face. But more for the person I would at least be able to something in common other than "parts" fitting into the correct places I do like to talk to my partners prior to anything happening. It puts me to ease and hopefully them too.I really can't mentally hook up with a 20 year old. And if I can't do that.. I highly doubt I can sexually. Alright, alright...I'm a male and I could.. but prefer to at least be able to have something in common with them. Regards, Pat

There is nothing wrong with knowing what you like. That does not make you picky. It makes one more discriminating which used to mean something very positive. Today that word has negative connotations. I hope that you have a great week!
