Bliss Point
Bliss Point I was recently reading an article about the science of addictive junk food and a bliss point was mentioned. In junk food terms reference was made to foods that owe their success to complex formulas that pique the taste buds enough to be alluring but don't have a distinct, overriding single flavor that tells the brain to stop eating. The article goes on to discuss sensory-specific satiety which is a sensory hedonic phenomenon that refers to the declining satisfaction generated by the consumption of a certain type of food, and the consequent renewal in appetite resulting from the exposure to a new flavor or food Once again a reoccuring theme for me....finding relationships with food and with people have many similarities. |

Crave? Did I hear somebody call me? You had to put a graph up, didn't you?! Now I'm just distracted with how many different topics to which I can apply the theory (and graph). Hmmm... isn't that the point though? Sometimes one just cannot get enough... hence the word: Crave
