HOT LIST

I've been here many years and have never understood the point of hotlisting someone. I know when someone's in your friends network you can see their activities, if they are on IM, or chatting somewhere. Are there benefits to hotlisting? Do you hotlist? Tell me why...or why not.

 I hot list all my friends that are very nice and drama free. i also hotlist profiles so i can go back and read about the person and see if there is a match or if they would like to become friends and all that funness

 I started hotlisting hoping they would notice me, and to keep track if I had seen them previously... didn't work....it got to the point where it wasn't manageable, so I pared it down from over 70 to under 20.

 I would only Hot-list someone that I had been in contact with, and had gotten to know them.
Other than that, from what I've seen on this site, only the scammers hot list.
