I've been here for many years and recently I am seeing more and more people complaining about other's behavior on A F F. I don't understand how someone who joins a site that says the above statement (and many similar statements] can be offended when someone writes a sexually explicit blog comment, email or IM. The assumption would be you are here because you read that and are here because you are one of the 'millions of horny members' interested in hooking up, isn't it? This applies to both men and women. The naked pictures, cams, erotica written,and videos make this similar to porn sites where the expectation is to proposition women (and men), in a way that may not be acceptable in places that don't promote sexual exploitation. I am not saying we need to agree to fuck just anyone, but finding a sex partner is implied to be the apparent goal of site members, not just to find someone to date or find a relationship like on other 'dating' sites where sex is not specified in the description. I also don't understand how standard members, who pay nothing to use the services A F F offers, complain about how the site operates. Where else would someone be given something for nothing, and then ask for it to be changed more to their liking? If not happy with the blogs, chat or IM, why stay here? There are so many different sites offering similar opportunities (though many don't provide the same for free). I've heard it said people are here because their friends are here. The way I see it if they are friends they would chat with you, read your blogs, etc. wherever you are. However, I'm sure the naked pictures, cams, and videos may provide a larger following than elsewhere. Then there's the complaints that the powers that be on this site just want our money. Of course it does. It's a business. Compared to other sites there is very little annoying advertising. We are not bombarded by pop up ads, as on so many other sites, and I'm not just referring to social networking sites. If I give the impression I am a capitalist in favor of big businesses dominating the economic scene, or someone that approves of being disrespectful to others, I am not, I am very far from that. I am just of the belief that if you aren't doing something because of necessity, if you aren't happy with it....stop doing it. Whining, complaining and negativity about trivial things ( in the scheme of life issues, this is trivial) benefits no one and just makes you unhappy and brings everyone else down with you.  |

I agree with cocoacream. Just because this is a sex site does not mean that respect just goes out of the window. We all know why we are here but men really need to learn how to talk to women. Local Adult Companion may seem like a buffet to some but I'm not a piece of meat here. Men constantly complain that they cannot read profiles because they are standard. That isn't Local Adult Companion's fault. They just don't want to pay. They also complain that IM sucks and, therefore, having said that they expect to exchange email addys. I am standard and most of the time IM works quite well for me. I also tell the men that if you don't pay you can't complain about anything. Of course, this is when they log out. Did I say something wrong? It's a different world in Local Adult Companion LAND.

Lynn1812 already cited some of their deceptive practices (which, IMHO, opens them up to be crapped on by anyone), so I'll just add my thumbs-up to his comment, note that he just scratched the surface, and move on. "Where else?" you ask. Lots of places. The web is full of free services these days. This may have been a valid question 10 years ago, but not any more. Yes, among the sex sites out there, AyyEffEff is probably the best for providing more stuff for free, but that's like saying that herpes is one of the less virulent STDs. But let's disregard the fact that they are one of many free services. I still have the right (whether a paid member or not) to be offended by someone doing a piss poor job in my presence -- and doubly so if I'm in I/T -- and considering what horny bastards we I/T guys are, I'd bet we comprise a healthy portion of this site's membership. If I pulled 1/10 of the stunts that I've seen here, my ass would be in the unemployment line in a heartbeat. Whilst we may be interested in hook ups.. I do draw the line at just being a free body part... LOL.. Glad someone has said that at last. I have been wanting to say the same thing but I always try to avoid pissing people off. Of course the fact that this place is so liberal means that a lot of folks, perhaps even the majority, go much further that I would be comfortable with, some may even abuse it, but I appreciate the fact that I can get away with being a hell of a lot more naughty here than in mainstream society. I've been on and off this site since 1998 when you could view all the profiles you wanted to and contact them for free. Most other "dating sites" was free at that time too. There was only 2 chat rooms ... if you could call them "rooms" ... and the magazine. That was it if I remember rightly. There was no blogs ... no cams ... etc etc. Over the years this site has grown to a bloated malfunctioning money grubbing mess. I have no problem with making money. They just aren't going to get mine. Except for the previous little rant ... I don't bitch about it either. I accept this site for what it is .. as it is. As to your other point. I have to agree... It is mind boggling... This IS a sex hook up site, that should be clear from the get-go. But I too have read the all to frequent angry blog from women that are somehow offended by men that have the audacity to be seeking (gasp!) SEX! I do feel though, that I should offer some insite from standard member on "the way this site operates"... I have been a paying member for most of my 7 years here, but have decided to stop paying because of the highly deceptive way that the site operates. When I am a 'standard' member, I have no shortage of hot available and horny women clamoring to meet me, viewing my profile, sending winks and flirts... then, as soon as I pay for another year's worth, every last one of those hotties immediately vanish into thin air. Even when I am paying, I get flirts from women that also show no sign of any kind that they ever looked at my profile. IOW, the management throws fake interest at you in order to con you into buying a subscription and I find THAT to be dishonest at best. Of the REAL people that actually contact me, most women that are either obese, live over 1700 miles away, are 10 years my senior or gay men that can't read my profile where is clearly states that I'm not gay. But A FF isn't responsible for that...
