Statute of Limitation
Statute of Limitation Are you still considered a swinger, or any variation of that type of behavior when you haven't participated in the lifestyle for many years? Is there a statute of limitations, whereas it's just considered your past and not the type of person you are anymore? Or is just the fact that you still have an interest in being experimental and would jump right in if given the opportunity sufficient? Not that labeling is necessary, but your behavior defines you in a way and does past behavior count? |

I'm guessing it depends if its self-labeling or if its a label someone else is hanging on you. If its self, you can call yourself anything you please. If its someone, then they will call you whatever they want and you really don't have as much control over it.

I think we are only defined by the labels we choose to be defined by.

I have been to sex parties, and sex clubs and didn't consider myself a swinger. And yes, I did participate. But it was only curiosity, instead of the way I would prefer to always be. So I tell people I have experienced many things. I leave it up to them to ask the right questions and usually by then, I know if I can answer in such a way that I won't get stuck with a label. "Is there a statute of limitations?" That depends on what you did and where you did it. My advise would be to plead the 5th. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I guess past behaviour can determine future behaviour, to a certain extent, however, people can and do change when they need to. On the other hand...leopards and spots. Woodrow J. Evers
