maybe theres a hope for our future after all ! ! ! ! we only got about 1-3 inches of snow yesterday, probably little enough to let melt mostly away when the temps reach about 40 today. but when a group of 4 local young , oldest maybe 12-13, youngest maybe 9-10, ring my bell and offer to shovel my driveway for $20, GODDAM RIGHT im gonna give them that opportunity if they want to work for it. i handed them my broom and asked them to first brush off my car, which they did with zero pushback. god bless them for learning so early to work toward what you want (and for their parents for teaching it to them!). i was glad to pay them, and even tipped them and im delighted to have been able to encourage and reward them in their growth. - theyre the future, and will run the world we all will grow old in. what do YOU think? I think their parents should teach them to knock on business doors first, unless the neighbor is already familiar with those kids. 12-13 yo boys can be pretty big. They don't look cute anymore and could look intrusive for some private home folks. Especially when they come as a group unexpectedly. no, these were KIDS.
