monday after the super bowl . . .

back the impeachment trial.

ok, its not about sex, and neither was the super bowl,
but it IS about the country and world we all live in
when the sex is over . . .

doesnt it already say something sad and scary that
the prosecution in the congressional procedure are congressmen,

but the defense in the congressional procedure are lawyers ? !

what do you think?
intelligent and respectful comments only, no insults or threats from either side.

thanx in advance

The Senate Trial was a SHAM it wasn't a trial. Trials have witnesses and evidence. I am thinking some of the GOP members may not have their Senate seats much longer. Or they need to grow some balls and tell Trump what he is doing is WRONG on so many levels..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

pelosi tore up chancellor trumps "speech",
which aside from the tuskegee airman and philadelphia student tributes

was full of misinformation and lies
(as outlined this morning by tribune news and associated press, among others),

and honored racist, homophobic, anti-women rush limbaugh.
ok, hes got cancer, but that doesnt automatically make him a nice guy.

chancellor trump, on the other hand, tore up THE US CONSTITUTION
by threatening repub senators to almost all leave their balls at home
and dismiss evidence and testimony to "win" despite the people right to the truth.

and NO, schiff did NOT make up the "heads on a pike" comment,
it was reported by CBS NEWS to have be verified by "A TRUMP CONFIDENT".

of course the senators denied it,
to protect themselves from being "piked".
the bullied are often reluctant to "out" the bullies
for fear of being bullied even more.

for perspective,
our whole nation once stood up in furor
over the new england patriots and tom brady
over "deflate-gate".

so why do so many you so easily accept chancellor trumps balls-less cheating ?
he doesnt give a fuck about you as long as he cons you into voting for him.

try tweeting disagreeing him on even one issue,
and see how fast he villainizes you!
oh sure, youre proud of he when it targets "someone else"
but how brave will you be when its YOU in the cross-hairs?

okay, this blog isnt about sex,
but its about the state of our country and the world we all live in!
some things are more important than sex,
and whether to live under a president or a dictator
and his mindless army of misinformed henchmen is one of them.

intelligent discussion welcome, but keep your insults to yourself,
they only prove my point even more, especially if you cant understand that

    Quoting thikhead:
at the hearing (the house part in this case),
prosecution needs only to prove probable cause for a trial.

at the trial (the senate), then all evidence and testimony are considered,
unless of course, the jury (the senate) are biased enough to block all
said evidence and testimony and completely invalidate the process,
robbing the people of due process.

if the house had the power to convict and remove,
this would have been over already
As I said, a competent prosecutor will gather enough evidence for conviction; he won't go to trial without it.

The Senate is not a jury; it's a tribunal.

    Quoting hardguy0051:
Why did the House of Representatives vote to impeach without sufficient evidence to bring to the Senate?
thats one way to look at it, BUT

the impeachment hearings were supposed to be a hearing
to decide if there was enough cause to go to trial,
which they showed there was,
but was never supposed to be the entire trial.
thats the way the constitution mapped it out.
oh, and how many subpoenas were ignored by presidential order?
and the defense is lack of evidence? really?

once it was determined by the house that there was enough cause for a trial,
then the trial should have been fairly conducted by the senate.

but apparently under intimidation and threats from chancellor trump
(does anyone doubt the "heads on a pike" comment was real?)
the republican senators (except for two),
threw due process out the window by denying evidence and witnesses.

it wasnt that the house didnt do enough,
it did its job by proving probable cause.

its that the republican senate prevented the process from proceeding fairly.

again, thanx for an intelligent response presented respectfully.

How many congressmen are NOT lawyers?
good point.

yes many have law degrees, but are not trial lawyers primarily.

still, most lawyers in trial situations arent concerned with whats right or true,
its all about winning above all else.
why else would every republican senator vote against
allowing evidence and witnesses?

are they protecting trump? or protecting themselves from trump?
so many ways to look at all the details of this whole mess . . .

thanx for your intelligent and respectful response.
