I can trace my membership on this website back to around 2002... What's your Local Adult Companion age? What's kept you here for so long?

For me, well it's a great way to chat to like minded people around the world and I travel a lot so has been a great tool to make new friends in the places I visit

 I joined just under four years ago. I joined originally out of curiosity, who would have thought that I would have stayed. I keep coming back because I get what I want from this site, fun times with new and exciting people.

Although, like most people that have been here for a bit, I am finding myself going through the blog scene also. I guess it is inevitable.

Ladybug, to get to blogging is the creative/intelligent persons right of passage from just looking at the sex aspect and taking all those experiences to another level of sharing thoughts with other people

 I joined originally in 2003 when I was living in Southeast Asia. Funny I had forgotten about that when someone asked me recently. Local Adult Companion looked a lot different back then.

I returned in 2012 after a bit of an absence, and I participate more in the community now. I've just recently started trying out the blogging and posting comments (bit of a lurker before lol). Now I need to have the nerve to say what is on my mind, and thick enough skin to ignore the haters!

I do like that you can participate in whatever way suits you at the time and I think that is what keeps me here. Dating, shagging, blogging, chatting, lurking, flirting, whatever floats your boat... as it as been said, the site is not perfect, but I enjoy it mostly!

Ellie, yes... I started blogging to just jot thoughts down. Some didn't make sense some did - people like or they don't!!! The haters can hate but that says a lot about their sad lives. Stick with the happy people and life will be good nice to lurk around too.. See what's going on

 I joined in 2005 just out of curiosity because a woman I know who ONLY allowed ads from small, women-owned businesses that she knew and vetted onto her website suddenly had an ad for THIS site. I stayed because I met somebody that very first night ... that didn't last long but then, right as I was about to leave, I found the blogs. I was hooked and stayed.

 Yeah... I hopped online, browsed around, was all "Meh... whatever. Not for me" then a guy messaged me. Tons of stuff in common, we exchanged Y.Hoo information and chatted till 3am. He wanted to meet the next morning for breakfast and I told him my mom was visiting so he said bring her along, he'd take us both to breakfast. So we did. He took us both to breakfast, then a little later mom left, and he and I hung out all day. Discussing all sorts of things, getting to know each other, kissing a bit. Things never went past the foreplay part and turns out his brain had two switches: sex or computers. I need a lot more than that...

Funny thing is after a month I slipped out of his life. Then last year I clicked with a guy on a vanilla site... and after a few weeks of chatting he mentioned that I reminded him a bit of a hot woman he was in love with years back and just enough information that I started piecing it together ... same guy. Though he kinda forgot to tell me he was in love with me and never came after me when I left so I'm not sure I believe it. Sadly it pretty much went the same this time around too.

 I think it was around 2007 I joined, although I've only just returned after about 5 years absence.
The blogs were & still are my favourite part of the site, even though there is so much more going on here.
I really like getting to know people through their words and insights.
