Slut?  Ok...so been thinking (I know scary thought, huh?). A friend posted a blog recently about a woman who had a "goal" to sleep with a certain # of guys. Okay, well that is her perogative. Not quite something I myself would set out to do but I am not her. So what exactly makes a woman seen as a slut? ? skank? ho? loose? etc.... Is it the number of guys she sleeps with? Is it the way she carries herself? Is it the way she dresses? Talks? Acts? I myself, have recently gotten a little more daring. Stepped out of my little box so to speak. In the last couple of years I have changed my way of dressing. My way of looking at sex. My way of looking at relationships even. So could I be a slut? I mean....I dress provacativly. I tend to be a little more flirty. I mean does that make me a slut? I even go to the club and when they play the song "Show Them To Me" I go along with all the other ladies and flash my boobs. I have had women (and men) fondle my boobs at the club. I have even had people suck chocolate off of them at the club. Am I a slut? As for the number of partners, how many is too many? I mean what do you consider a sex "partner"? I mean back in high school I was a little wild. I don't mean I slept with every guy around but I did go down on my knees a couple of times. I have had more than a handful of guys. Am I a slut? I might be. You might be. Who knows anymore. Some people are honest about their sex lives. Some people aren't. Am I agreeing with the woman who has the goal.....NOPE! I could never imagine myself doing that many guys. Actually had a former friend brag about being with over 50 guys in a 1 year time span.....HOLY SHIT! Not sure I could do that many guys in my lifetime...... Well just thought I would vent. Blog. Speak my mind. Talk. Whatever. I think my hormones are at work. Either that or I need to get laid........   |

My thoughts, a slut is lacking morals and frequently common sense. She has indiscriminate sex with many men, frequently in an unsafe manner. No condoms. Men she may have just met or even strangers. Just my humble opinion. It's the quantity of men she has been with that lack quality?

You know, I'm not sure about the meaning of "slut" any more. I think the definition lies in the actions of the person, of course, but it goes further than just a number. It's like some here have indicated. It likely gets traced back to the intent of the individual, so it's not the number of partners, nor the number of partners per day/week/month/year. It has more to do with how those partners are selected. Perhaps "selective" is the operative word here. Absent that, and actions might start to slip into slutdom, but that's hard to know.
