half-filled and half-empty
held so many times
touched by the lips so often
sometimes handled with care
sometimes dropped, chipped and broken

i may look like the rest of them
but there's none like me
i've been molded to my own uniqueness
and created with my own flaws
i am different

you can see through me
if you look close enough
i'm deep, and shallow
i'm a witness to many things
but usually taken for granted

i have feelings..i get hurt
and sometimes i get so filled up
that what's inside me overflows
and tears glide down my sides
unless you come near me and help pour it all out

i can help nourish your life
if you drink through me
if you drink with me
i can be a companion, or a friend
i can be loved.........

i'm a glass...
half-filled and half-empty
yet overflowing with tears
handled with care
but shattered into pieces...
