A Sex Study
Indiana University's School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation conducted a very large study of sexual and sexual health behaviors. The study involved more than 5000 participants across a broad age range (14 to over 70). The results are, of course, interesting to us perverts who think about sex more than the average bear. For example, here's a chart showing the percentage of men and of women having intercourse during the last year by age groups.



Some of the things I found interesting:

Women have more intercourse than men early on. Between the ages of 18 to 29 they have more intercourse than men. Men start to match women's frequency at about age 29 and exceed them from then on out to over 70.

The late 20's is the age of greatest sexual activity. Somewhere I picked up the idea that women were more active in their 30's. Not so according to this study.

Sexual intercourse starts declining after the early 30's but never goes away completely. Even at over 70 there are still men and women having intercourse.

 how can women have more intercourse than men in the teen years, who the hell is she having sex with herself? This is why these things never make since.

The thing to remember is the question that was asked. The question was "Have you had intercourse in the last year?" They didn't ask the age of his/her partner. Some of the things that could explain the difference between them is perhaps some young men are having more sex partners, or some of the women's partners are older. We really don't know from the data presented.
