i looked back at some old year book photos the other day and was mortified to see my socks up to my knees in basketball photos. the short answer to your queery is that men are idiots and dont understand fashion at all. dont get me started on the porn faux pas i have seen and catalogued.

I hate seeing socks in porn! Shoes too! If I'm watching a scene and the people in it don't take them off along with the rest of their clothes I move on to something else. Thankfully on the internet there is a plethora of porn to watch  I think it most likely a form of laziness though. They are about to fuck anyway so why bother? Also, they are being paid to perform and don't want to be getting cold feet!  I used to only wear white sport socks as that was all I owned. I never have much occasion to wear a suit and tie so it never really affected me. I went to a friend's wedding a few years ago though, and the tuxedo shop threw in three pairs of dress socks along with the shoes I bought. Wearing them pretty much put me off white, sports socks for good. Dress socks are so comfy! And they breathe too! Much more cool! Anyway, maybe the guy at the bank was simply behind on his laundry? hehe, Pete

Can't speak as to why the guy chose white socks, but it can be tricky to know when to get your socks off as you go for a tumble. I think it's called the "sock gap" - if you don't take them off before your pants, you could be in trouble...

It is pure laziness . No other explanation is needed . I mean come on , one of the best things in the world to do . And you can't take a few extra seconds to take your socks off ?

I notice this too and similarly it is a real turn off. Seeing a female on cam with only socks on looks ridiculous. Indeed seeing a guy wearing socks, or even shoes, in a sex scene makes the whole thing look distasteful. Obviously if the female is wearing heels that is great but I do remember way back in porn mags where they worse those lacy socks with heels. No no nooo. I only possess one pair of white (more cream) socks but they are for wearing when dressed in the kilt. I have a pornographic memory

Funny you should mention white socks. I lived in Montreal for a couple years. Although I would go back in a heartbeat to visit, the day-to-day living didn't appeal to me all that much. Montreal was (maybe still is) a place where more disposable income is spent on fashion than almost anywhere else in Canada. I'm certainly no fashionista myself, but I do clean up pretty good when the occasion demands. The point of this little story? For as many custom made and finely tailored suits that I saw in the business world, I had never in my life seen so many suits paired with white socks. Really! WTF. I could not believe it. As far as socks on during sex .... I guess unless it's a hot and heavy quickie where not everything comes off, I say take it all off!!
