There is no "normal". Everyone is different and have their very own quirks. You pretty much answered your own question. Only thing I would say is keep your guard up. It is easier to say then do I get that. But be strong and you will find the moment when you know if this is for real.

I've had a hard time keeping it normal with the ones I've fallen hard for, to a point that they usually hurt me in the end because I'm not where they are in the relationship.

But then again I've been the one putting the brakes on or not progressing beyond a point too.

I guess I'm like you in that I'm all or nothing at all. You're either in it or not in it, so my relationships progress quickly despite better reasoning, but especially so when I think she's awesome.

If he's as hard for you as you are him, let go. Thats all I can say.

What reasoning is better tho? At the end of the day, if it feels right... then why does there have to be certain time frames on things?

You're right. I'm probably over thinking shit.

very interesting ,i had been hurt several times before i met my wife donna ,last thing i was looking for was anyone in my life ,then i met her. She knew me better than i knew myself . We did not realy date we kinda just fell into each others life ,we fit like a hand in a glove . Now for what is normal i belive that is what makes you happy ,having trouble tusting we all have that cross to bear .If it wasent for my shyness i always would jump in with both feet and let life take me where it leads me , time spent with a wonderfull person only enriches your life ,you spend the time you have together and hope for the best . as for normal you do what fits you both there is no cut and dried right way . As ussuall this may only make sence to me but maybe soaking you will know what i mean . Kerry

You're right. At the end of the day, whatever I feel is normal.. is what it should be. Thanks Kerry

May the wind be at your back in whichever direction you choose, Ms. Soaks *tips hat* Just ease the dude into it as much as possible. It's like Wayne told Garth: "If you blow chunks and she bolts it was never meant to be." Oh Wayne's World.

Ok.. but that leads back to my original question. How do you go about easing? I mean... I made the mistake of giving my ex full blown access... being brutally honest and it's one of 2 regrets that I've got in my life. So, how do you do it??

Be truthful if asked, but don't just give them access to everything all at once. Gradually slip things in. Kinda tough. When I've mastered it I'll let you know!
