 Not married, but I agree with his set of arguments about why you'd be ideal for that, even an unmarried guy cheating would think through those things (if he were smart about it)

Side chicks usually like to fuck a lot and aren't hung up on shit like "why don't you sleep in my bed every night" or "why don't we go out and do normal things". They usually have more stuff going on with life/work that they just don't have that clinginess factor, they're too busy to dwell on it even if they do notice it and feel it. The possible downside, based on perspective, is that they are also fucking someone else.

 I think one of the best ways to have a "side chick", is to be a "side guy" of someone with a history of having "side guys". That shows that she likes this kind of arrangement, for whatever reason, and is less likely to try to make you a replacement for her primary than someone who hasn't cheated before.
