why lie

ok, men, we have had this discussion before. Do not, and I mean do not tell a woman you are single when you are attached or married. It is so, so wrong for her, but good for you.

If you were honest up front, some of us would have walked away, and some of us would have stayed. I would have walked. To me being married and attached is the same thing. That means, you are not available, but I am.

If I know you are attached/married, I keep certain boundaries. If I think you are single, I treat the situation differently.

When you lie, I get screwed in more than one way. Lieing is one of my big pet peeves. why do it, you will eventually get caught.

 I don't worry about the lie, I do not think it is fair to the person that thinks they are seeing a single person versus a married or attached person. Some people do actually change as to how they will handle the situation if it matters to them.
