Profile Birth Dates

Profile Birth Dates I have noticed over the past four years as a member here that many profiles have a birthdate day of the 1st. Examples are June 1, July 1, May 1, January 1, etc. with a birth year to prove their age. Now, looking at photos with a birth year, one would think what they look like should at least come close to the year they have posted. But the fact that many have chosen the 1st as the day they were born also tells me that the birth year provided is not at all correct. Many times I will see they have an age of say, 49 using the birth year they post. Looking at the picture, it is CLEAR they are at minimum 15 to 20 years older. I have sent e-mails suggesting they take a closer look in the mirror or perhaps get some new glasses. The fact that they are deceptive with the birthdate can also suggest they are not being honest about other things as well.....not a good way to try and get a response much less meet someone for a possible good time. I don't typically read any women's profiles to see if they do this as well but I would guess the answer is yes. Everyone wants to feel younger than they really are at times......

Quite a few on here don't give the actual date of birth, they tend to use the default.

Some people are scared of others identifying them in here, so they hide certain info. You would think that looking for sex or company with other consenting adults, is a normal activity, but it seems not ! After all, the goals remain the same in here, in other ''vanilla sites'', or even real life. I fail to see the shame part. But then things are different for everyone. If I met someone in here I would never be ashamed to tell the world where we met. I could not care less what people would say or think, even prospective employers. They employ me for my skills, not for my internet activity. A lot of people complain about this site, but it is us, the users, who make it what it is ! but everyone's fear of being "found" on here is actually quite funny. Who would find you and what would they say? I work at a pretty conservative school in a very conservative state. How conservative? One of my colleagues almost got his funding pulled because he was *in the same bar* as a 21 year old student and got caught in a selfie. I know at least 2 of my students are or were here and I would like to continue getting funding until I finish my PhD Aside from that, I'm a private person, even on traditional dating sites I am pretty judicious in what I choose to share. A site like this, well there is still a double standard and I've known a couple of women from this site who had issues so I would just as soon keep my private life private.

I have no problem with someone giving an incorrect birth day or month. If one is uncomfortable giving your correct year for identity purposes I would expect them to stay within 1 or 2 years max or do the 90yr old sort of thing. I admit I am not real good at estimating age but I have seen a fair number of women on here that look a good 10 years older than the date given. Hell, I have seen some where the age the profile calculates and one they give in the profile spiel is off by 5-10 years. Now that is what I would call a red flag. If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin." I always behave. Preferably not well.

Mine is correct. There are some who's birthday are those days but there does seem to be a lot of people that didn't even change it.
