Profile Not Available On occasion I get messages or IM requests to chat from men who have temporarily (or on purpose) turned off their profile. I can't help but wonder why they think any of us ladies would respond without knowing anything about them. I politely tell them that until I can read their profile I will not be chatting or responding. That seems to be a HUGE red flag to me, like perhaps it's very likely they are married or attached and don't want to get caught. I do realize also that even the profile can be a fake but at least I have something to read.... I have always been candid and honest about myself on this site and have never once taken down my profile for any reason. What you see is what you get with me period. However, I DO and WILL block people that are out of line for one reason or another. That could be online or even after we have met in public and they were deceitful about themselves in one way or another. Why is it so difficult to just be honest about oneself and let things happen naturally? Of course cheating on your wife or significant other is one reason but I just don't understand why folks have to lie and be deceitful. There have been those also who have more than one profile on this site and violates the terms of service. It sure seems like a game to some people; for me, I am quite real and always serious about meeting in person when the chemistry is there. In 5 years I have been stood up twice. They got blocked...

Along the same lines with women's profiles, i get hot listed by them, and it turns out, they're all fakes and scammers. I believe what they're doing is, is using the Profile Not available as a ploy to get people to either IM or e-mail them, for purposes of gaining that person's off site information in the end. Basing that on what I've see in the past 9 months of dealing with the same thing only with fake young women's profiles. Hope that made sense, as it is along the same lines as your describing. you can't view the profile.

I see a lot of profiles turned off, not sure why my original thought would be they've found their match and are going to take the chance to see if it works out but there is also the situation where something is going on in your personal life and as this is entertainment for most it takes a back seat.

Could be they don't want to get spammed by the site or bots the site doesn't catch. AB No Bozos

I get a few different explanations for why a profile is turned off: 'oh, it must be an Local Adult Companion glitch, I have no idea why my profile is turned off'...and, to be honest, that glitch did happen to me once so if the person goes immediately into their profile and finds the one little box that mysteriously got checked by that ghostie Local Adult Companion and unchecks it, making their profile available, I tend to believe them. Another explanation is that they've recently had a stalker that they don't want contact from...but they can just block that one person...however, I've also had this problem and the stalker will have a hundred different profiles at hand and will continue to bombard you with harrassing e:mails...I do take this reason with a grain of salt however. The third reason is most perplexing and I have yet to really understand it. One well-known female sex cyberer in the public rooms only allows her friends to view her profile. If she doesn't like you or doesn't know you, you are out of luck. I know, it's definitely her choice to do this. It just seems like begging to get the priviledge of viewing her most-awesome, fantastic, sexy profile. It just comes across as having a very big ego. On a site that promotes deception and has already exposed many.It makes me wonder whats REALLY behind all the faceless profiles and why all the advice pages were written 8 -10 years ago. We can really only blame ourselves for our own gullibility! Using more than all the road!

think sometimes profile not available means the site has created another phony profile, they have a habit of using the same photo for different profiles in different locations and they also use the same wording for different photos. for them it is like a game to keep you guessing who is real and who is phony. the photos usually disappear after someone points them out.
