Blow jobs with condoms only?

For me, sex with a new partner or even some not so new, requires the use of a condom. That has thankfully become the "norm", and I have never had a partner complain about it.... if they were to complain, that would automatically entitle them to a quick trip out the door.

Blow jobs are a different story altogether. I tried to insist one partner wear a condom during a blow job, but he had such a dislike for the idea, he chose to not have the blow job at all. His loss!

I know you are at a lower risk of transmitting or receiving STI's during oral sex, but you are still putting yourself at SOME risk... ever hear of gonorrhea?

I do like the taste and feel of a hard cock in my mouth, and I dislike the taste of most condoms, but maybe this is something I need to get over.... sometimes I wonder if it's a little bit the same as before the AIDS era, when it was rare that anyone wore a condom for sex, except as a method of birth control.

Is this going way overboard? Would you give/receive a blow job with a condom on? Do you refuse to give/receive one without a condom? And how does cunnilingus fit into the equation? Dental dams??? Oh how very sexy! lol But then again, STI's are not sexy at all.

 This is a very insightful and interesting topic, absolutely necessary to breach with any potential partners.
STI's are simply a good way to ruin yer day!
I agree with your choice, as it seems to represent the only sensible approach to keep everyone at ease, and safe.
I would be a cautious to the point of "NO" without protection, because the alternative just simply isnt a healthy or wise option.
Dont go in without a helmet! EVER!
Dental dams also make a great deal of sense, when it comes to other activities.
People who you dont know well(and even people you do!) that insist on sex without such concerns for personal health and safety are an EXTREMELY risky choice of partners.....
It should be noted that we can now add HPV to the list of nasties lurking out there, and one that many of us certainly carry unknowingly. Along with cervical cancer, it is responsible for mouth tongue and throat cancers!
As for flavoured condoms.....Cherry, Lemon, Lime, or Banana? Mebbe a Lifesaver pack?

I agree with you, the alternative is definitely not healthy OR wise. It is surprising how rare it is to see condoms used during fellatio, whether it is in porn or in real-life. I've only been to one real swingers club in my life, and I can't recall seeing a single condom on anyone that was receiving a blow job... they only seemed to make their appearance once the "foofie" was involved. Sorry, new word for me...couldn't resist lol.

This person is a professional consultant in the healthcare field concerning this very subject.
