Read Before Posting

Does anyone here have a problem reading back what they have written before posting it?

I have always had a concentration problem and would have to read a page several times before I got to the end of the page. When I watch the telly I sometimes have to rewind because I missed something, even though I didn't.

When I watch sports on the TV I usually have a book or magazine reading at the same time as I watch; can't help myself. I've never viewed it as a problem, I just dealt with it.

What I've noticed is that when I type something here the only way I can re-read what I've typed is either to post it first then read, or press the preview button (I refuse to use spell-check, always) and read. I do find that very strange, but then, I've always had fun discovering new things about myself (even after all these years).

What makes it strange is that if I can read it from the preview screen then I should be able to read it from the screen that I'm typing on. Tell me I'm not the only one who does this!!

Oh, well! The mind is indeed a strange thing.

Thanks for the advice but remember, you're talking to a man who takes water to work every day and forgets to drink it. (I'm something of a 'mad professor').

The writer is beset with such idiosyncrasies. I notice rewriting is one of mine, sometimes it's just about stopping and walking away for a minute.

Re-writing used to be mine a long time ago; I'm not sure when it stopped. There was a time when I had to print out what I typed to look for errors.

I'm going to see if I could ever get up and walk away for awhile. I have to believe you guys are right.
