Hmmmmm, wondering Last Friday night I chatted for the first time with a female member. Things seemed to be going well, we had polite conversation and agreed to meet the following Sunday. She was lamenting that the guys on here were flaky and she was not going to renew her membership. Sunday morning I sent her a text to confirm that we were still meeting at the agreed upon time. I sent the text at around 8am. Here is how it went from there: Me: Are we still on for noon today? Her: I'm still helping my parents,,,don't wait. Me: Ok, let me know if you want to meet. Her: When not if, thanks Keep in mind that she told me she is off work for the next month and had free time. I work, but have flexible hours. Today (monday) I sent a text about 9am to see if she was free on Tuesday for lunch. This is how it went: Me: Are you free for tomorrow for lunch. I need to meet a building inspector but will be free after that if you can be a little flexible on the time. Her: No I thought it would be fun to meet but no. Lets just drop the idea. Thank you. Me Ok, Have a great day. Her: 8am text messages are a negative.. Me having to be flexible but you not, big negative. You treat me like a simpleton. If I wanted to be treated like a second class citizen i'd still be married. WTF Me: Wow, I'm sorry if I offended you. I didn't realize the timing of the text yesterday was bad. I just thought you would respond when it was convenient for you. Good luck on your upcoming move and be safe. Her: You tried telling me the restaurant I picked was closed..argumentive (sic) ..you messaged me 0800 two days in a row...BTW my steak was great. I don't need luck cuz i'm considerate. You wouldn't need luck if you were more thoughtful. I am wondering a few things here. 1. Was I wrong for texting one time at 8 am to confirm we were still meeting that day for lunch? 2. Her response by telling me "don't wait" seemed to indicate she couldn't make it due to helping her parents. Did I misread that? 3. I feel like I dodged a bullet with not meeting her. My impression is that she is very needy or high strung. 4. I'm not sure how I was being inflexible by offering to meet if she was available. I am certainly open to any comments on how others interpret this. What are your thought out there in blog land? Needn4fun |

Thanks to all that answered. Bigg LALa, In response to you, she did leave it open by saying "When, not if". I don't stalk women and usually pick up when they are not interested. I do see your point and can appreciate your point of view. I have been a member for quite a while. I am used to the games some people play and kind of take it with a grain of salt. I was just surprised at her quick turn of attitude and was wondering if I was out line. Thanks again for all your responses.

personally I do believe she had another meet sounds like what I went thru a couple times if after the second text about meeting on Tuesday I would have dropped it and moved on..sounded to me like she was a bit defensive , maybe the meet she had ,if she did had to be rearranged to accommodate your meet with her..She said guys were flaky man it sounded like the more you tried the flakier she got...I just went thru that ,,,I chatted with this guy who is local we were supposed to meet twice both times he had something come up.Ok he only has one dick pic on his profile, I asked for a face pic, nope when we meet you will see who I am then...then he asked for more explicit pics of me I have 20 odd posted on my profile ..told him no if he couldn't show me one face pic I wasn't going to send any..his next message he suggests I go to another more tame vanilla/ traditional site ...Wtf? I blocked him and told him I was reporting him as a fake..scammer/ pic collector..end of story...sorry that sounded so selfish of me but it goes on a lot here...keep going!!

You dodged a bullet. 8:00 am is a bit early on a Sunday, but if you were planning to meet somewhere at noon...maybe not. She obviously changed her mind, which is her prerogative, but should have been upfront and just come out and told you that in the beginning. No explanation required, though nice to hear, just honesty.
