 I posted this cause it always seems like when I get close to that time I get extra horny while I am waiting on those days to go by. I start counting them like crazy wondering if that's how the guys feel when they can't get none cause their woman's on....lol I have never really considered it considering it's always been like a forbidden thing. My guy has never suggested that we do it but friends have.

 It can be a bit messy, so take precautions such as doing it in the shower or with something covering the surface on which you will lay or sit. Also, you might want to use an internal tampon and remove it just before the guy is ready to enter.
My first wife found that sex during her period not only felt great, it decreased her discomfort and shortened the length of her period.
If you are concerned about how you lover will react, ask. You may be pleasantly surprised and wish you had tried this before now.

 Will keep that in mind but not sure I am willing to try this yet. All I can think of is possible health risks. Are there any? Does anyone know that. Not trying to discourage anyone else if they want to try but the thought of it raises so many questions. Especially since I never thought of doing it before.

Well, it is blood, so all the blood borne diseases are very much in play, but those are in play whenever sex is involved as the blood borne things tend to also show up in the other bodily fluids involved in intercourse, especially semen/sperm and vaginal secretions, so the same precautions should be taken. The period only introduces a possible mess.

 Things that can be spread through blood can also be spread through sexual fluids. The ones with no cures are hepatitis, HIV, HPV, & HSV. If you or your partner have any of these, it is good to know that before having any form of intercourse (oral, vaginal, or anal).
Obviously if you have any reservations or inhibitions, there is no pressure to try it. Those of us who have done this know that with a little preparation this can be a good experience for you and your partner.
If your erotic desires are high when you are on your period, you might want to play with your partner in a way that does not involve vaginal penetration. There are still lots of possibilities that would give you both pleasure. Plan on doing this a few times with plans not to proceed to vaginal stimulation. This takes the pressure off so you can enjoy yourself. On the third or fourth time you can decide whether you want to continue as in the past, or expand your horizons.
