Very sad He was magical in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and hilarious in his comedy roles. RIP Gene Wilder

Horny_Holly replies on 8/30/2016 1:17 pm:
"magical" is a good word to describe his role as Willy Wonka

Oh that is sad news. I love Stir Crazy and See No Evil, Hear No Evil to name but a few. Gene and Richard Pryor together were a joy to watch.

Horny_Holly replies on 8/30/2016 1:14 pm:
They sure were. I'm a huge fan of both those films.

Aww man... and I had to hear it from across the pond.

Smart as a horse and hung like Einstein.

If you're going to get bad news, across the pond is as good a place as any to receive it from

A great loss, indeed. And he came across as such a nice man, too.

Thanks for stopping by, Tmptrzz.

I agree.

And in any interview he ever gave, he came across as a gentle soul.

Gene Wilder was brilliant! Watch the original version of "The Producers", or Blazing Saddles, or Young Frankenstein. Great collaborations with Mel Brooks. He was born and raised in my hometown, Milwaukee. He will be missed.

All great films. And yes he will be missed.

It's one of my favourite films, Thalia. And as much as I like Johnny Depp, I couldn't believe they did a remake.
