Word to the wise... this happened to me last week, so here it is...

Word to the wise... this happened to me last week, so here it is... Word to the wise... this happened to me last week, so here it is... I had written dozens of blogs with no issues whatsoever... and, then, it happened... like so many issues that others had written about... I had spend 30 minutes or so researching: the perfect segment of a blog; the right song lyrics; write the blog; and get ready to post... seemed easy enough for me, as I had done this countless times with no issues. But, then, nothing happened... Like a bad date or a nightmare, my blog post was gone... It disappeared into cyberspace... Oh, how pissed I was... and, it was then that I recognized I needed to write my post in a notepad or word document, and then cut and paste it into my blog post... By doing this, it will save you the anguish and time to re-start and write again... Some of you have commented about this phenomenon and I didn't think anything about it... But, now i do... I understand... So, there was good that came out of this as I had written 177 blogs... So, I decided to capture all of my blogs and store them as word documents on my external hard drive... Now, by doing this, if the site goes down, or if I get bold and want to publish something, I have it... Also, I was able to re-read them and see the development of this writer's penned words... I have received inspiration from many of you as to: what to write about; how to craft the message; how to include things that are of interest to you and/or your audience; how to write Haikus; how to incorporate song lyrics into a story; how to make a story or haiku out of a song and weave the two together... some worked, some did not... My last multi-part series had 18 installments... I didn't realize i had written that many for my trip with my far away lover... but, I did... Anyway, if you are going to blog in earnest, please write your thoughts down somewhere that you can control the saving of the iterations so that it doesn't disappear on you... The site will time out for me. Not sure if it's A F F or the way I have my IPad set up. I use private mode on Safari and it happens elsewhere too. I have learned I should write the post elsewhere and paste here, but all too often I take a risk and type directly into this box...sometimes with regrets. Like many others, I spend time composing what I write and also try to find a picture of some sort to illustrate the topic. After many years of blogging I should know better.

It has happened to me many of times. That really sucks doesn't it. I am now writing in word and transferring it over when the site times me out and I have lost everything. That is my suggestion to you! hugss V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm
