Thoughts On Bloggers Leaving

I used to enjoy the blogs. I even penned a very few myself. I was shocked to find out that someone's blog I had enjoyed suddenly blocked me. I only commented once or twice. Never anything controversial, always positive. I was told that another blogger had said I said...etc. Not getting into it, however I hardly ever read blogs anymore or comment. Life throws us enough curves without inviting them into our lives.

I have a few favourites I still enjoy, but no longer spend my morning coffee reading them.

I enjoy you btw...xo

I'm with FM, I'm finding a lot of newer bloggers that are quite diversified and interesting... the squabbling goes over my head for the most part. There's only a few bloggers whose blogs I find moronic and I ignore them. There's quite a few whose blogs just don't interest me and I ignore them. The rest of you I greatly enjoy the comments that a quality written blog attracts and the interactions that are created. Real life connections that spring from those are even better!!! It's kind of like college... you make connections while you're here, some you keep after you (or they) are gone, others are just passing through.

You already know the reasons I am thinking of leaving, and they have absolutely nothing to do with lack of diversity. And as far as "lack of diversity" I say Hogwash. Or Piffle. Or Pshaw.

What the Hell are all these people whining and moaning about? How far are they searching, to find interesting and diversified bloggers? I find them, all the time. Sure, some of them are the top bloggers. But some of them are not. Some are other, less well-known bloggers, in your local State or Province. Some pop up in the "recent posts". Some are commenting all the time, on the blogs you already read. If you search for them, you will find them.

I find that I miss many of my former blogger friends, who I considered my contemporaris, even though some were decades younger and wrote about sex all the time. They were all intelligent, had an interesting way with words, had interesting (and sometimes new and different from me) views on life, made me laugh out loud, and always brightened my day or made me think.

I miss LadyUnlaced, Gottaring, Flirtatiousone4u, MyNameisKay, MissingU2012, WendyLouWho, DDICan'tRememberHerHandle, WhattsamattaU, DMYogi, and so many others. But life goes on. For those still here, and for those who have left.

There will always be good bloggers. They just might not be US.

Check out my profile or and become a "watcher" of my blog FMAOPLS,to learn more about me, and for intelligent, lively, smartassy and fun discussion, with a little irreverence thrown in. "Like" or comment on my photos, and I promise I'll add more. Thanks.

Life goes on people move on people come back people stay for a while it is the circle of life here in the blogs for years and years and years and years Red!

I have been here a very long time and have truly seen it all with people fighting one another over stupid stuff that is so trivial like we are back in elementary/middle and high school!

I blog for me and no one else as I have done so for many many years and will continue to do so as long as my interest keeps me here period!

Many of my old blog friends have come and gone and there is only a few bloggers of the old guard if you will still here so we cling to those who we know and find something of interest in those new bloggers who bring something to the table!

I tend to ignore a lot of the BS and carping that happens on here as well as ignore

I write what I wish and read those posts that interest me. I leave comments when I feel one is earned or warranted. Other than that I am content in my little corner of blogland, doing foodie research and sharing thoughtsand knowledge I like Symposium and would love to see more folks contribute to it. After all it's open to everyone. The internet is not my life and I do have lots on my personal plate right now offsite so perhaps this might be the daylight needed to keep me going
POCO I agree with you here 100%. Ignore the BS and you will be just fine. We all love to see more contributions to the symposium but that does take time. hugsss V

Hello Red..

For those bloggers who want to take some time off maybe go and come back, you can always take your account offline and it will be here when you come back. That would be my suggestion. Nothing will be lost. Red everyone does take some time off from this site. Really sorry to see any of the bloggers go but it their choice to leave. hugssssssssssss V

Even when I left this place for years, I never deleted my account, or any of my old posts. I see my blog as my diary. I like the diversity these pages can offer, and of course the interaction with others, either for just a "hi" or a different view on something. To go along with a mix of sex stories, fantasies, facts, recipes, songs and poems, politics, and all the rest.
So, for all these reasons, I am staying.
I try to play nice, and expect the same. Seems to be working. I know for others this life here in blog land can be more eventful! To put it politely. But this been the internet, is that not sort of expected? Like may be not guaranteed expected, but something that can happen?
There can be reasons as you say, many and varied, for when people decide to leave or take a break. Everyone who leaves or comes in, have their own reasons and justifications. It could be a bit upsetting to see them go, especially if you were friends, followers, etc. All we can do at those times is let the person know of our own feelings about it, and remind them that they are the number 1 to decide.

I have enjoyed some of the bloggers that have left or are leaving, but I feel that it is their choice, and they are leaving for their own reasons.

I absolutely wish them the best in life, and their future endeavors!

It's honestly not going to affect me one way or the other though. I come here to read what is here, respond if the topic resonates with me, and 99.5% of the time.....stay out of the "blogger wars" or other nonsense that sometimes transpires in blogland.

Be Honest..Be Sincere...Be REAL

Hey Rascal!!!! Okay, my two cents worth.

I have cut down on my blogging for a couple of reasons, some you named. I don't care to answer or post to the constant barrage of repeat crap such as cut/uncut, does size matter (asked so many times it is beyond pathetic and the responses NEVER change, you have what you have deal with it), shaved/trimmed/natural, and the constant asking of what positions, when you lost your virginity (which I find a crappy question as there are those that lost it on r4pes and it isn't so fun), and just that type of over and over and over again redundancy. I pass them by and don't answer at all. When you see these questions so many times, the size one appearing up to and over 5 times or more A DAY, one just gets sick of it. Yes, it is a sex based site, but honestly one can only say those same things so many times and it gets beyond lame.

The next reason is that I do see the constant fighting. People say "don't answer and they go away" and then that same person writes an entire blog or AL entry on that person or the situation. So much for don't feed the troll. Again, I get sick of it and I don't care to be involved in it.

I would have to add also that the voting thing, not everyone has voting in their blogs thank goodness, but those that do it just gets again beyond stupid. Ask the question what is your favorite color and one writes blue and 15 people mark disagree. WTF??? I think I know my favorite color and voting disagree is just ignorant as all H8ll... see my point?

It is the childish BS that makes me not want to be here. I avoid it and that means less and less to actually post to. I have even had the posters get all ticked off when I try to just add to the conversation and such because they want what they want posted and nothing else. I am not fighting mind you, but I am adding to the conversation is all. It gets really lame.
