Are FWB's real?

I have been looking for an fwb for a long time now. Are they real? My definition of an fwb is a friend with sexual benefits. The sexual benefits part is self explanatory. But the friendship part is what gets me in trouble, I think. I want to hang out and do things outside of the bedroom too. It doesn't mean I want a relationship. I'm already married and my circumstances in my marriage are at best, complicated. Suffice it to say, we don't live together anymore. So a relationship to me, means that I have to live with someone or answer to him. I wouldn't be on this site if I wanted a relationship. Lol
But if you have read this post this far, please tell me what your definition of an fwb is. Thanks.

 I am in 100 percent agreement with you. I don't seem to have problem getting the "friend" part but getting the "benefit" part is where it all goes off the rails.

 I agree with your definition. And I can testify that it does happen, is possible. That's because I've done it.

The friendship apart from the sex can be tricky. The discretion for that part is often more tricky than is being discreet for sex. But it can be done and it can be very enjoyable.

Don't give up on this. Keep meeting people, making friends. Eventually the right combination will come along.
