A Proper Examination. A Poem

Do you know how
Lonely I have been
Since your rejection?
I am sure you have
An inkling
From our
Subsequent discussions.

But it could not be helped
You found someone else.
Someone more suitable
Someone who can
Make you happier
Than perhaps I ever could.

If only when your new person
Had shown up
Simultaneously one showed
Up for me.
Is that ever what happens
When couples part?
It is just wishful thinking
From the one
With the broken heart.

Some mourning has to be done
Some burying of emotions
What kind of person
Would I be if I just
Moved on without
A proper examination?
No autopsy done
On why you were
Unsatisfied?
Not to beat myself up
But to learn
For the next guy
Who comes along.A

 some real thoughts, I guess the answer is never, when he finds her, never is there a he for you. not at the same time, Yes one has to mourn, look at all the facts and try,try to figure out just why, just how, just what could I have done.

 By his leaving he is taking a piece of you with him,that you may never get back.
His scent, his everything. Leaves you empty Longing for a touch and more.
We can't understand yet, In yrs or months maybe I will find a better love and companionship in our next Life, here in our little world of wonder.
Maybe he taught all that your higher power needed him to.Now it's time to help another grow.
We've all been there,. Such is life.
