The Love of a Boy, Priceless!!! I have a friend who is a single parent. He is a single Dad, He has a 8 year old . I sometimes help him babysitting for him. Of course, I don't charge him. sometimes he gives me cash cause he wants to. but I actually ended up expending it back on his , cause he loves to ride around town with me. and while we are are out, he hammers me with things Haha. at times I even ended up expending my own money on him  Anyhow. The little boy has gotten so close to me, that he wants me to go by his house every day. He now has an I pod. so he calls me from there and text me literally every day. and let me say that I see him almost every day, I go by their house almost every single day, I help him with home work. we play. and I serve him dinner before his dad gets home. once his dad gets home from work. sometimes takes him with me in my car for a ride and to go grocery shopping, that way he let's his dad rest a little. Today he called to let me know that his Tae Kwon Do graduation is tomorrow. to please be there with him. I tho it was very very sweet of him. I told him I would try my best. Even his dad told me, He loves you, he is always asking and talking about you. Every-time that you are coming home. he is looking out waiting for you. and is true, cause the other day was raining in the morning. I stop by to give him company and had a breakfast from McDonald for him. I had no umbrella, next thing I knew, he was out running under the rain tours me. with his little umbrella for him and had an extra umbrella for me, it was a very nice gesture of his part. touch my heart. I feel the love of this little boy is priceless. love the way he hugs me and talks to me. very clean innocence love. and yes, I think I will be there on his graduation tomorrow. I just didn't said yes for sure, just in case I can't make it, so he is not waiting for me and then no show  |

You are very sweet to take it upon yourself to help with this young guy. There are so many more like him out there who could use care and attention and affection like you give. The world would be a much, much better place if more adults cared for children the way you do for him. Curious though.... you did not say anything about whether there is a growing relationship with his father. I hope that you can continue to be there for this boy over the years as I am sure that your are an excellent mentor and role model for him. He was lucky that you came into his life, as you are that he came into yours too.

That's awesome hun sounds like the two of you have a wonderful time together, and he sounds like a great kid, and you obviously have a tremendous presence in his life good for you hun..I hope you go to his graduations tomorrow.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..
