I need advice for online dating!

I don't know what the freak I am doing but know it is not working. Not sure if it is my age or lack of style or both! When I was young in a social setting the girls would pick me up today I have not a clue what to do.
Any tips?

 On this site...look into local groups and chatrooms. Be patient, they may seem cliquey but if you ease in slowly and act friendly and not to aggressive at first it's a good way to make friends that may lead to more than just friends. Feel out the vibe in the room before making any jokes or innuendos. Remember the other people in the chatrooms are only reading your words and can't see the expression on your face or know if you are being sarcastic. Many local groups have meet and greets...informal get togethers..not sex parties..often just an opportunity to connect with fellow chatters in person.

And be realistic...if it's a young, hot girl and she's contacting you just ignore it...either a fake profile or someone trying to make some money.
