Is monogamy natural?

There is no ONE single reason anyone has an affair. There are usually many reasons so for those of us who have had or are having an affair.
What do you feel was your one pivotal point that made you commit to the affair?
Boredom?
Desire for attention?
Curiosity?
Sexual attraction?
Loneliness?
Desire to fill gaps in your relationship?

I do not believe in monogamy. Love and lust are two different things. While you may still love the partner you have choosen to marry....You lust after the need to be desired and wanted. I feel if we ere able to act on the lust there would be a lot of happier people in the world.

Love thy neighbor...just don't get caught!!!!

No, it is not. At least, not on an evolutionary level. It is, however, culturally imprinted on us. For some of us, the DNA speaks louder than the social pressure, and others vis verse.

Women are naturally more inclined towards monogamy, while men are more naturally inclined against it.
