Wow, there are still some honest people out there!!

I was getting my morning coffee this morning when a knock sounded at my door. I opened the door to this man who was holding my wallet.

“I believe this belongs to you, I found it down the street.” he claimed. To which I knew it was my wallet just from looking at it. I thanked him very much for returning it. I was not expecting the money which I had put in it to remain, however, it was. Nothing was missing. I had not even realized I had dropped my wallet on my way home from work last night.

Restored a little of my faith in the human race today. There are still some honest people out there.

True! But you could have offered a reach around, just for a reward!

LOL!! I could have, however, I didn't want him falling down the stairs he had just climbed to return my wallet. And copping him a feel may have given him a heart attack, he was not a young man, even by my thoughts of young. I would say in his mid to late 70's.

That happened to me last Christmas. Dropped my wallet getting out of my car. The couple tracked me down in a store and returned it to me.

So nice to hear a nice story for a change. That was good of them to return your wallet as it was good of this gentleman to return mine. Thanks for stopping in and commenting

Glad you got everything back. There really are more good and honest people out there than we are given go believe. The problem is the news shows the bad stuff because all the normal everyday usual good stuff is not really newsworthy. We tend to forget that.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

I am finding that to be true, we hear more of the bad stories and so therefore, tend to think more bad than good is out there. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I agree that the bad apples tend to taint the entire barrel, although, today restored a little of my faith in good people. Thanks for being one of them. Thanks as well for stopping by and commenting.

Is that not standard in Canada ? You're shattering my perception of Canadians by implying they're dirty brigands like us yanks .

Putting clients first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put clients (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first.

Sorry if I tarnished your thoughts of us Canadians, actually I do find there are more good and honest people than bad and dishonest. And I do not believe it is only Canadians, I have met some very honest and amazing Americans as well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I have never given up completely on humanity, I just don't always trust some of it. LOL, today restored a little faith.

Nice to hear. I actually believe most people are honest. WE just her about all the bad stuff much more than the good

redhotfun4you2 replies on 9/15/2016 8:34 pm:
As stated above, I agree we don't hear enough about the honest and good people because the terrible things people do sells better, so to speak. and that is a shame. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

You're welcome rusty, I was surprised when he showed up and handed it to me, however, I would have done the same had the tables been reversed.

At coffee the other night, we noticed someone's Birth Certificate on the floor and left it at the cash. He may come back to get it. I hope he does.

thats a great story an a show how we CAN act toward others... i have done the same thing once before, an gives you a great feeling an was so easy to do... i had my truck broke into an had checkbook/wallet in console( yeah i know bad idea) , they used my credit card twice at jack in the boxes , a few miles apart before i got it shut off... 60 bucks worth of burgers??????? lol but to get back the drivers licsense, social secruity card, credit cards, an other information or things , are a real pain in the butt for people to have to go thru just so some punk gets his jolly's off.

redhotfun4you2 replies on 9/16/2016 5:05 pm:
Very true, a friend of mine and I were discussing the cost to get some of those ID's replaced, not to mention the inconvenience of having to do it. I have left my wallet in my car a couple of times, not because I meant to though.

Bad that you lost your wallet but good that it turned out to be a heart-warming story that helps to restore a little faith in the species

Drop in and visit my blog sometime, but you'll probably regret it

redhotfun4you2 replies on 9/16/2016 5:46 pm:
Funny part was, I didn't know I lost my wallet until he showed up at my door. You know me, I am not all that alert before my coffee, and I was only on my first one. I was not too bright at that point of the day... lol.

Yes, it does restore a little faith in mankind.
