Her Poisonous Words

Her words are like venomous fangs
puncturing my heart.
Their potent poison eats away my soul
melting away all of the joy that we once
shared turning my mind into a smoldering
pile of useless ashes with their harmful, toxic intent.

Written after I found out that my wife had cheated on me and stole a large amount of money from me. I was devastated.
