Surprise!

It's us!

Your hatchlings have come home roost.

I was sitting the balcony when I heard a knock on the door. Like always, I hovered over the peep hole see who was out there.

Nothing.

Someone had placed their hand over the peep hole. With my eyes narrowed, I stood back and waited to see what was going to happen. When I heard the keys jingling I knew it was my middle .

The deadbolt slowly turned and the door quietly opened a crack, allowing two sets of eyes to peer through the crack.

"Ha! Got you!!"

I was prepared, waiting on the other side of the door, waiting to scare them.

"At least you've got pants on this time."

"You're lucky I'm not naked."

The Spawn rolled her eyes and walked in, throwing all her crap on the floor in front of the door.

"[Spawn] wanted to come home. So did I."

I wanted them to come home too. I feel a lot less alone in the world when I have them around me.

 I'm still shielding but at least I'm allowed to see one of my siblings in my back garden as from tomorrow.
I wish the government had given me more warning though!

You're right... I once said that very thing to Boss #1 when he'd asked me what I had done on the weekend. I'd taken the kids to the Dennos Museum in Traverse City to see a King Tut exhibit. He wrinkled his nose and thought it was a waste of time. I told him... The kids probably won't even remember much about the museum. But, they will remember singing in the car on the way there, all of us having fun, and the weird guy who waiting on us at Olive Garden.

I agree.... Are you able to get tested? Maybe if you get tested they can come back? I don't think it's right that they can keep them from you.

 I haven't seen the g-girls since March 6th, the Friday before spring break. I asked when she's coming home and she said her grandmother won't let her until she thinks it's safe. This shit is getting old.
