Rudeness - Incident #1 Here's one that just tickled me the wrong way. So I'm signed on to IM here and I get this random message pop up from a female member here (brightly11) who claims I wrote to her. Here is the brief encounter:  So I beg to ask, why is there such a sense of ignorance on this site anymore? If I'm being accused of writing someone a message (and I haven't done so), then what is so hard to briefly explain the situation like an adult here? Instead it's easier to make a false or mistaken claim and instead of respectfully explaining what happened to me like an adult, it's simply easier to go on to block me altogether? Proof is right there in what the screen shot shows. I'm not understanding this mentality at all. The level of childishness, rudeness and ignorance is at an all time high here. And here I thought guys were pretty much the ones who showed that level of rudeness. Proves that gender makes no difference here and that the ignorance can be from both sides. The kicker is that I'm so kind, respectful and willing to discuss whatever issue anyone has like an adult. Grrrr frustrated!!! Sorry, I really had to vent over this one. Is anyone else here experiencing similar encounters with people here like these? brightly11 |

Appreciate your comments. I absolutely did block her and moved on without losing sleep over it. It's just really irritating that it's come to this. Rudeness and ignorance online is certainly nothing new, however, I do recall the earlier days of Local Adult Companion and the internet in general as being not so cut-throat and much easier to find others online, whether that be long-term online friendships or even much easier meet-ups with relatively decent folks. These days it seems that people either go right into battle mode and want to argue/ignore OR they simply want to write and talk completely filthy. Where the middle ground anymore of decency, friendship and the potential of meeting with someone sane. I have plenty of theories. All in all, it's just sad that this is what it's come to. Thanks for everyone's input.

Yes, there are lots of rude people here and I think it has caused many of the more popular bloggers to develop a hypersensitivity to comments. I commented on one blogger's artistic style and how I was very blown away by the visuals and colors. I also told her her subject matter (bondage and domination) was entertaining and that I had never tried that before. She took offense to the word "entertaining" and blocked me. Go figure. Me?
