Another day another encounter with fake people

So unfortunate to encounter so many fake people on here. For the first time I actually had to report someone for harassing me on the instant messenger. Why do people pretend to be something they are not? So unreal that people lie to try to get off. I think I am just about over all of this. Even though I have limited time to go out and find it easier to chat and see where it goes. Anyone have any thoughts to weed out the phonies?
