Why all the fake ads??

For the last week or so I have been instant messaged several times by fake ads.

We all must flag and report these fake ads.

Everyone's help is needed on this.

 I would think there would be some type of safeguard against spam, etc. Otherwise, why would anyone ever pay to upgrade?
