An honest question

I am just wondering why, all you lovely gentlemen feel the need to start messages with, "I'm not looking for anything serious.". I was under the impression that is what this site is about? Are there really people on here looking for a husband or wife? Honestly just curious, as this is NOT Christian Mingle. Like I said, just really curious and somewhat fascinated!!??

 That sounds like an upfront desire for a NSA hookup, without commitment. I suppose that works for some people. Others want ongoing FWB arrangements, with periodic meet ups, socializing and sex. I suppose there's even a smaller portion of guys looking for traditional monogamous relationships. Choose what suits you and be clear in your expectations from your partners. Best wishes!

 I agree, that it does seem redundant, especailly given that beyond a blank no thank you, you would at least look their profile were they would have something to say about what they are looking for,especailly beyond the supremely general "not serious"

 Unfortunately the message of the site...causal encounters...tends to be lost from time to time. I'm sure I am not the only that has met and been with folks with what I thought was "clear" understanding that it a FWB, NSA, etc. meeting and then have it almost turn into "Fatal Attraction", or that's the way it felt. I'm sure both men and women are guilt of this.

 We have been in the lifestyle for a long time, and have seen many different approaches. Some from dating manuals, to porn flicks. They are not sure what is offensive, and to who? Lots of different rules , from different people. Some are offended that a man sanda cock picture. I think it is a sex site. I like to see what I am bargaining for.

I don't think they are meaning to offend you. Successful relationships know how to communicate. There are a lot of people throwing out a lot of stuff.

 Your question sounds like a "typical" guy question. These sites are for whatever each person wants from them. There are people looking for LTR, and for one night stands, and things where no physical meeting is wanted.
