Stories Never Told

Well I can't seem figure out myself
Just an empty book an empty shelf
In a paltry study of an abandoned castle
Left by a lord and binding vassal
Pages flailing in the winds
A romantic novel that never begins
And what might be found in an untold tome?
Words never written, so cast in stone

Well I can't seem to understand
What happens to time when it runs out of sand?
Will the oceans once again reclaim the beach?
Such a fantasy is always in reach
The waves push the border of insanity
My mirror is the water due to vanity
And I stare at myself 'til I drown in time
Such a deep thought for a shallow mind...

Well tomorrow is yesterday
And yesterday is everyday
The people say what the people say
Because people say what people say
Tomorrow and yesterday
And today are all in decay
The people say what the people say
I don't fucking listen anyway

Well I still haven't figured out myself
Just a dirty book on a dirty shelf
A diary from a dark asylum
Carved in stone, a dirty diamond
The lunatics are in the hall
And they gather 'round to recall
Tales of old, but lo and behold
No one remembers stories never told
