2017 had been quite a year for us. We'd been in the swing scene for 14 years but the last hasn't been terribly fun for us. Most of our time since we met we've just had friends who we played with and after we moved rural the pool got a lot smaller. So wow here's this site for meeting people!
Well it was mixed results from the go. A bad party, some flakes who never show, some who misrepresent themselves as a couple, some who think they're all that and want you to do all the work at making the meet happen. We've met some quality people and we're sad we haven't been able to play as much as we expected. Why? Well a few months after joining the female half of this couple was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It sucks. Pain, muscle spasms, fatigue and not even being able to make it from room to room of our own house without assistance. Gone through a handful of prescriptions that worked at first but eventually became less effective and our ability to meet became last minute notice and no traveling. It didn't help that we also couldn't use our car for long trips during the summer for months because our mechanic couldn't be bothered to fix it (live in rural area and options can be limited). Oh and our one babysitter went to college. Rough huh? Other than the handful of people we've actually managed to meet people must have just assume we were flakes. I guess there's nothing we can do about that but much of that was really on them. Why? We didn't often say we couldn't meet.. just that they had to come to us. Guess how many were willing?
Now we have found a balance that works to stabilize but not eliminate the fibro as it's a lifelong issue but still.. so many have demands.
So here is how it has to be for the time being as we still shift through the available medicines and treatments..
Couples and single females always get to the front of the line and yes we do still meet some single guys. We'll do the best to fit in anyone we think fits what we're looking for in between our personal life stuff and the health situation. Patience is a virtue. If you don't have it I wouldn't bother with us.
Another option for women and couples interested in men as well as couples.. I play and she doesn't and the I will likely travel if need be. If you want us both or her (straight men) then you know what you have to do for the time being.
With any luck things will get easier for her and we'll be able to get back to some new normal that's better than the one we've been living with for a while.
