I figure, why not give it a shot. It'll be nice to be able to read messages and send IM (if it works), without skimping and saving the points. ha ha.

 Gold membership gives you more tools, still have to out in an effort. Sadly lots of blank or incomplete profiles for all levels of membership. Cheers, enjoy

 I'm of the impression that it is a waste of money. Not necessarily time.

I've noticed too many suspect things about the profile on here.
1. The real men outnumber the real women 190:1
2) The fake female profiles are plentiful
3) You need to be able to spot the fakes, otherwise it DOES become a waste of time too.

I have yet to be convinced this site is worthy of my money.
Is there one seeking the arms and comfort of an older man?

 A few years ago, the site would give 2 free weeks of gold to frequently viewed profiles (mostly females and couples who were active). I pretty much perpetually had it. It made some things easier and some things no different. But back then you also got a certain amount of free IM and could read email if initiated by a gold person. Now, pretty much only the blogs, stories and chat rooms are free. And they quit the free gold for the ladies/couples. Site really started swirling the drain after that.

Sounds like the site was great, once upon a time. But a lot less so these days. Still, I'm gonna maintain my hope. Reach out to some people over the course of this month, see about making new friends. And if it doesn't work, well, the blog is still great.
