I spent several years on here/Local Adult Companion simply posting my rambling thoughts on social and political issues whiling away the days until I thought I would meet my sweet heart over-seas in Thailand.
She and I met when she rented an apartment I owned near UK campus. She was getting her doctorates degree in Plant Physiology where she had gotten a national scholarship from the Thai government.
She was a big sports fan and would call me sometimes after, or during a UK football game to celebrate a play or a win. She had a huge crush on Derek Abney and I would tease her about it.
It was almost a full year later before it ever became romantic and we dated - quickly realizing the situation she and I were both in due to her scholarship. In order for her to receive this scholarship - her mother was required to put her family home up as collateral in case she never came back to Thailand. The amount of money needed to reimburse the Thai government was several hundred thousand dollars - a three hundred percent return if she did not return or her mother would lose her home. Neither was something we could do.
We decided that she would go back to Thailand and I would simply wait until I got my '35 working years' in for SSA and we would take the money I had saved and I would meet her in Thailand.
She left in 2010 and I was to meet her in June of this year to finally begin our life together. The first of January this year, as I prepared to get my new passport and the engagement rings she let me know she had found someone else.
While I was completely blindsided, I probably shouldn't have been. Five years is an awfully long time to be apart. Thailand has within the last year had military a coup-detat. Her mother wanted and I only wanted to adopt. There were a lot of obstacles and we were probably a little naive (me even more-so) to actually believe that 'love' can truly conquer all.
So anyways, now I am re-acclimating myself to the realization of staying here in the good ol' USA and looking forward to seeing what the future will bring.
Surprisingly to no one more than myself I am pretty much OK with how things all worked out. I actually LOVE Lexington and REALLY appreciate my good fortune in the US. I SO did not want to learn to speak Thai - 'old dog - new trick' problem. I hate HOT/HUMID weather and there is now ay in hell I would ever be able to keep my big American mouth shut as would be REQUIRED by newly installed military regime.
On another note - I have been completely faithful for five years that have past - which means I have been celibate for longer than I can imagine. I may actually be a virgin again.
Looking forward to just going out at this point - anything is exciting to me now..ha ha.

I listened to Ted Nugent when I was a but never bought his music. I was more the Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendix, Lou Reed type rather than the more generic pop rock type such as KISS and "The Nuge".
I ended up serving in the military unlike Ted Nugent. I was a combat engineer which a blast if you are a young guy because we got to use heavy equipment and demolitions. There's really not a lot you can't do or destroy with a bulldozer and enough plastic explosives and we had both.
My father was in the Marine Corp and my brother in the Navy. Most of my uncles served in the WWII in various services so military service isn't something taken lightly in our family.
My Dad taught me to use a gun as if I was in the Marine Corp at the age of eight. I went dove hunting with him when I was three with a pop gun that had strings attached to the end.
I shot for two years on the US Army brigade rifle team. I am somewhat familiar with the aspects of shooting guns and rifles.
I never considered myself a badass for having a gun or even for shooting well. I looked at it as a skill that anyone could acquire given the time.
But for some reason "Terrible Ted" is trying to resurrect a flailing career by acting like a gun makes him this incredibly dangerous person.
For anyone actually in the military it is absolutely laughable.
The funniest part is how this COWARD bragged to the Detroit Free Press how he defecated and urinated in his pants for two weeks in order to AVOID the draft during the Viet Nam War.
Now this sorry bastard thinks he is entitled to threaten the President of the United States of America.
He said if Barrack Obama is elected he will either be in jail or dead. I am voting that he is the latter rather than the former.

Obviously Sandra Fluke is Rush Limbaugh's favorite example of a "slut" but wonder if he used the same metrics on others who would qualify.
In Bristol Palins book she said she didn't know she had sex because she was SO drunk. I am not sure that that is a comforting excuse for anyone extolling abstinence nor am I thinking it is the most believable. Saying I was OK with getting totally shitfaced at 15 is OK but I would never have sex is really a difference without a distinction.
So how did Sarah Palin get to host an event called Restoring Honor in America? I guess Baby Mama Mama hasn't quite earned it's place in the days vocab.
For me personally, I believe women can use their sexuality in many ways and much more often are the victim of their sexuality in horrendous ways. The sex tapes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian do tremendous harm to those whom are really violated women.
I am the last person who would call Bristol a slut or anything else other a young woman with little family guidance and a poor decision making process.

You would think I am an Alabama fan by posting this but I ain't. Just a football fan realizing the obvious. I would like to say I had money bet on this game but I didn't.
It was one of the best games I ever saw because I knew just how good LSU was. AJ Mcarren played a flawless game along with the rest of the team. LSU is a great team but Bama dominated.

Never before has a President had to face two wars, a world recession and a populace so ignorant of the facts they couldn't tell you the difference between a Credit Default Swap and a Collateralized Debt Obligation but wanted you to fix it all before they got home from work.
BESIDES killing Osama Bin Laden and making due on a promise of the past failure of a president made he also did what should have been done originally. He used SPECIAL FUCKING FORCES!!!
He saved our manufacturing base and hundreds of thousands of jobs. He stabilized an economy against the will of every Republican bastard that was alive.
He did not cheat on wife like Newt Gingrich and his weren't whores like Sarah Palin.
He didn't borrow billions of dollars and then file bankruptcy like Donald Trump four fucking god damned times.
He didn't make a complete fool of himself with American History like Michelle Backamn or marry a fairy and then oppose Gay Marriage. Huge issues there.
Obama, unlike Rick Perry, can at least count to three and knows that education, commerce and EPA are actually needed if we want people not corporations to survive. AND here's a huge fucking plus. He doesn't say "oops". Talk about backwoods "W" Shit.
Mitch Romney is actually a lot like Obama in many ways without the balls to say it. He's basically a coward.
Here is some LOSER like Rick Santorum who couldn't win re-election in his own state but wants our country to become a Theocracy to dictate how we live our lives and watch like a creep inside our bedrooms. He is the most disgusting of the bunch because he hides his perversion in some dysfunctional antiquated institution like the church to do his perverted preoccupation.
Ron Paul is an honest man with integrity and principles. My disagreements with Ron Paul are just ideology. I respect a man I can at least get an honest answer from. I completely agree with his foreign policy but I think his domestic financial policy would be so draconian it would starve this country from any type of growth for the next hundred years. Bringing the world to gold standard and doing away with the Federal Reserve is always a fantasy but it's the equivalent of putting the toothpaste back into the bottle. Europe is now faced with the possible unwinding a tenuous relationship and the ramifications could be disastrous. Imagine that times a hundred if the US tried to reconstitute the gold standard. Gold would be worth $50,000+ an once. It would be the equivalent to nuclear war on many small countries whose Central banks can't afford to hold Gold Reserves causing defaults and hyperinflation.
George W Bush caused our huge debt, sent us into a war that wasn't needed and ruined our name, our integrity through out the world and turned out to be a complete idiot.
The GOP is a ship of fools with Rush Limpdick as it's Captain on the ship USS Irrelevance.

Just wondering. It would make sense someone so entrenched in the belief of Christianity would adhere to ALL of it's rules and therefore...
It's pretty clear Bristol Palin was too drunk at 15 to fend off any Occupiers of Wasiila but what about the Tebow??
Maybe this is the source of his stamina and endurance. Normally I would draw the line at this type of invasive intrusion into a persons private life. Like I said normally. BUT since he has made the profession of his faith so public and to be so paramount to his success and who he is as person on such a public scale doesn't he need to answer this question?
He has certainly benefited from publicly making his faith known - isn't it only proper to ask how he has adhered to the covenants of that religion?
I have no ill will against Tim Tebow but I DO have a problem with people using religion or other means publicly to unfairly elevate themselves. I admire his ability but if you want to bring GOD into this you are now on a another level because you are asking for more credibility than you deserve and insulating yourself from criticism by calling others heretics.
I am a born again atheist. I don't suffer the need the to be accepted or even acknowledged. I do however suffer the coexistence of the insufferable ignorance of the religious.

I think Ron Paul's idea's of fiscal and financial housekeeping are just short draconian but I do admire his integrity. Fuck the political winds he is a man of his word.
I first became aware of him when he was the only GOP member of Congress to speak out against the war and he immediately drew my support based on the idea it is much easier to go to war than to get of it. I saw him stand up in face of outrageous demagoguery by the chickenhawks of the conventional GOP.
It was great to see him call out his fellow running mates out on Jay Leno where he told it like it is. He told jay that Michelle Bachmann Hates Muslims and so does Rick Perry and Santorem hates Muslims and gays.
Welcome to the New GOP. Rich, White and Stupid!!

Again we read the guilt trip that the mortgage industry places on distressed homeowners when dealing with their distressed mortgage. But it’s OK and even advisable for the corporations to walk away from their obligations. I’ve written about this before, but when the Mortgage Banker’s Association double deals, this is just too juicy to not publicize.
Freely quoting from Mandelman’s post: “The CEO of the powerful Mortgage Bankers Association, John Courson, has said that underwater borrowers should keep paying on their mortgage loans and ‘should not walk away from lawful debts’. In an interview this past year, Courson appeared genuinely concerned adding: ‘What about the message they will send to their family and their and their friends?’
Just last year, you pointed out that defaults hurt neighborhoods by lowering property values, so borrowers would do less harm to our society were they just to repay what they owe. You know… like the responsible homeowners.
This past week, the Co-Star Group, Inc., indicated that it had agreed to buy the MBA’s 10-story headquarters building in DC for $41.3 million. The only problem is that $41.3 million comes up a skosh shy of the $75 million first mortgage on the building that the MBA took out from PNC Financial Group way back in 2007, when they purchased the property for $79 million.
The very same MBA also defaulted on their payments and secured a forbearance agreement, prior to the short sale. Nicely done, Johnny-O.
what kind of message are YOU now sending to your family, your , and your friends by walking away from your lawful $75 million debt? Are they being morally harmed by your decision to stick the bank with close to $25 million? And why aren’t you simply paying your mortgage as agreed, Mr. Courson?

I use to respect John Stossel for having some basis of credibility but after his imbecilic reporting on Bill O'Reily's show, I have lost all faith in him.
He sets up a food stand or drink stand and he can't sell his goods because there are too many regulations. He then EQUATES this to the Federal government OVER-REGULATION!!! ARE YOU FUCKING GOD DAMN KIDDING ME??? YOU GOD DAMN BACKWOODS COUNTRY FUCK!!

I love Free Speech. More free expression of ideas in my opinion is a good idea. Granted a lot of those exercising it are poorly informed but if everybody decides to drive off a cliff who am I to talk them out of it, unless I happen to be a passenger.
Religion has become the cornerstone of the GOP against rational thought and it's spearhead to defeat the greatest President this country has ever known.
The GOP and the evangelical Christian movement have become a racist/elitist organization intent on keeping rich white people in power because they see a demographic shift in America. They realize that this may be their last stand to keep this country as an Anglo-Saxon Christian country and they are puling out all the stops.
They love to demonize Hispanics, Muslims and people who don't look like them. They still think Jesus was white. They love to call Obama a socialist but it was Jesus who fed a crowd of 5000 with five small barley loaves and two small fish. How Socialist is THAT?? Feeding LAZY poor people for free, whats up with that???
But it's OK to cheat on your wife, like Newt Gingrich OR to fuck Alter Boys, like Catholic Priests, OR file Bankruptcy 4 times, like Donald Trump. Oh I forget, Newt was just working too hard to keep America Free and WHITE!!!
This is a power struggle between rich white people and everybody else and don't think there are a lot of people making a lot of jack exploiting the differences.
I have no doubt that someday the political tides will turn and the demographic shift will happen and actually being a somewhat wealthy white person will be at the end of the political repercussions of this insane religious stupidity but until then; You Evangelicals are Fucking Nuts!!

I LOVE watching the Denver Bronco's!!
It's amazing football and it confounds the prognosticators. While not exactly my profession it does have a lot in common with what I do professionally. I measure things. That's what an option trader does. I bet on things against conventional wisdom and Tim Tebow is showing what I always preach - You are smart until you aren't smart anymore. AND the great NFL minds are now learning that paradigm.
Tebow is for real. He is actually improving his game and becoming a better player every week. He's an incredible leader and more importantly - he doesn't believe he's ever losing.
BUT...being a "measurer" of things, his invincibility is beginning to peak. Don't get wrong, I KNOW he is a good but different type of QB in the NFL he needs a lot more experience in the NFL before he wins a Super Bowl. BUT I don't rule it out of his potential which is quantum leap from where people had him two months ago.
I think he is a great leader with tremendous physical talent which was under estimated by all including MYSELF.
BUT...unless he is able to reproduce those spurts of fourth quarter brilliance in the first through third quarters as well, we will soon forget the incredible phenomenon he has become.
He seems like a great . I wish him well.
Tim Teabow might be the NFL Jesus, but Aaron Rodgers is NFL God.

The Match Stick Girl

It was New Year’s Eve, and a poor little girl was out on the cold streets selling matchsticks. She was hungry and freezing, with neither hat nor shoes. She was afraid to go home for her father would surely beat her as she had not sold any matchsticks that day.
In a nook between two buildings she tried to warm herself by lighting her matches. In the light of the first match she saw a hot iron stove. She then lit a second match and this time saw a fully laden dinner table with a cooked goose that came right toward her. It too disappeared as the match went out. By the light of the third match she saw a beautiful Christmas tree lit with thousands of candles. The lights of the tree went higher and higher until she saw that they were the stars. One became a shooting star and she remembered her grandmother telling her that a shooting star means that a person has died and a soul gone to heaven.
Upon lighting the next match she saw her grandmother, the only person who ever loved her. Hoping to keep her grandmother as long as possible, she quickly lit the whole bunch of matches. Her grandmother then lifted her in her arms and they flew with joy and glory higher and higher and there was no cold, no hunger, no fear – they were with God.
The next morning her body was found with a smile upon her lips, frozen to death and with a burned out bunch of matches. “She wanted to warm herself!” people said. No one knew what beauty she had seen or with what glory she had gone with her grandmother into a joyous new year.
