Last Friday night I chatted for the first time with a female member. Things seemed to be going well, we had polite conversation and agreed to meet the following Sunday. She was lamenting that the guys on here were flaky and she was not going to renew her membership.
Sunday morning I sent her a text to confirm that we were still meeting at the agreed upon time. I sent the text at around 8am.
Here is how it went from there:
Me: Are we still on for noon today?
Her: I'm still helping my parents,,,don't wait.
Me: Ok, let me know if you want to meet.
Her: When not if, thanks
Keep in mind that she told me she is off work for the next month and had free time. I work, but have flexible hours.
Today (monday) I sent a text about 9am to see if she was free on Tuesday for lunch.
This is how it went:
Me: Are you free for tomorrow for lunch. I need to meet a building inspector but will be free after that if you can be a little flexible on the time.
Her: No I thought it would be fun to meet but no. Lets just drop the idea. Thank you.
Me Ok, Have a great day.
Her: 8am text messages are a negative.. Me having to be flexible but you not, big negative. You treat me like a simpleton. If I wanted to be treated like a second class citizen i'd still be married. WTF
Me: Wow, I'm sorry if I offended you. I didn't realize the timing of the text yesterday was bad. I just thought you would respond when it was convenient for you. Good luck on your upcoming move and be safe.
Her: You tried telling me the restaurant I picked was closed..argumentive (sic) ..you messaged me 0800 two days in a row...BTW my steak was great. I don't need luck cuz i'm considerate. You wouldn't need luck if you were more thoughtful.
I am wondering a few things here.
1. Was I wrong for texting one time at 8 am to confirm we were still meeting that day for lunch?
2. Her response by telling me "don't wait" seemed to indicate she couldn't make it due to helping her parents. Did I misread that?
3. I feel like I dodged a bullet with not meeting her. My impression is that she is very needy or high strung.
4. I'm not sure how I was being inflexible by offering to meet if she was available.
I am certainly open to any comments on how others interpret this. What are your thought out there in blog land?

Has anyone besides me noticed that there is a large group of recent new members in the 28-35 age range? These new members are all attractive ladies, most dressed provocatively and supposedly looking for their "lifemate or soulmate". These same women also surprisingly view my profile and have hotlisted me..
Now at age 62 I am pretty well preserved and lead an active lifestyle. I have also not deteriorated mentally to the point that I really think these members are interested in me. LOL.
Is this Local Adult Companion's attempt to get new members or a way to entice current members to buy a membership fee? Anyone else notice this or am I delusional..... Hmmm, maybe I do look like Tom Selleck....Just kidding I have no picture posted.

Hmmmm, noticed something odd lately with Local Adult Companion chat. The last two times I logged on I had an incoming message from a person I had IM'd the previous time I was online. It seemed like there was a delay since the response was appropriate to my last message. The incoming message was there waiting for my response, but they obviously were not online. Anybody else notice this?

Why do people state no games, flakes, or etc on their profiles and then do the same things themselves to others?
I recently met a lady (I mean that in the literal sense)who was very upfront about her needs and desires. We met and chatted for a while and found out we had some common interests and let it progress from there. It was refreshing to meet her and know up front what was expected. Will we meet again, I'm not sure. But I do know she was nice to talk to and fun to be with. I'm not the stalker type so I wont hound her to meet again. But I will keep in contact and let it run its course.
Is this kind of thing to much to ask for since we are all adults?
