When I find someone here that I want to get to know a little better, I, like many others, go from A F F communications to other instant messengers. I am reluctant to give out a phone number until I am sure it is someone I'd consider meeting since blocking is a lot more difficult than blocking an email or IM.
Occasionally, someone intrigues me who isn't much of an online chatter and not very familiar with IMing. I find myself reluctant to pursue getting to know him because I am very computer and internet oriented. I email, IM or text at work, with friends and family. I read newspapers, magazines, opinion pages, blogs, and use google to look up or research pretty much anything that I need to know or is just on my mind. I question whether I can be compatible with someone who isn't fully computer literate.
I also have to question men who say they can't figure out how to send a picture or sign on to IMs, but seemed to find their way to A F F and most likely are able to navigate themselves to porn sites.
I am really getting picky, aren't I? Or am I?

HA! Bet you thought this was about orgasms or the number of partners I've had. Nope, it's about the multiple times I have written the same blog.
Once again, thinking about how I shouldn't complain because I am fortunate to have some FWBs I truly enjoy being with.....HOWEVER....I am in desperate need of some passion...unbridled, uncontrollable... lust in my life. A few years ago I had no trouble meeting someone that I couldn't resist and would long for whenever we were apart. Can't seem to muster up that feeling for anyone lately.
Maybe it's me.

Seems so many of the promos we see on A F F involve 2 women. Is this the kind of porn men are looking for? Are men intimidated by male/female porn? Is the two women fantasy more intriguing that seeing a man and woman together and imaging yourself in that scenario? I wrote a few years ago about being desensitized due to the over abundance of sexual imagines we see. Do you find yourself now needing to see sex that's kinkier than what's considered the norm to get turned on?

Aren't there any interesting and friendly women on here under 40? By the number of emails I get from so many men under 40 it sure seems that way. I've mentioned the emails from men who are a lot younger than me in past blogs. It's getting comical, in a pathetic kind of way. Lately the majority of the emails I get are from men 20 to 30 years younger than me. I have to assume they are getting rejected by women closer to their age. Many of these men are articulate, seem to be very nice guys and pretty good looking too. I see a lot of profiles for younger women. I have to wonder if they are here to actually meet men or just for the attention. Many talk a good game, but it seems few follow through. No wonder why the younger men like older women. Most of us don't pretend to be what we aren't. We are not here to just lead men on. If we are just here to chat, we say so. If we want to meet, we actually do.

I recently read a blog post commenting about when trying to find a partner/lover/date (however you want to label it) on A F F we have to lower your expectations. I assume that means have lower expectations then we do on other dating, social networking sites and even initially meeting offline in the "real world". I disagree...at least for me. I expect the same intellect, kindness and consideration here as elsewhere, but I also expect something more...not only the ability to perform well sexually, but understanding what women want and appreciate from a sexual partner. You come to a site like this, an atmosphere where sex is discussed openly with few boundaries, and you hope that the people who frequent this site pay attention to what they see and read, and learn from it. In my opinion, if you factor that in...you have higher expectations.

With the popularity of 50 Shades and the many porn sites displaying variations of the BDSM theme, it seems like that lifestyle has become mainstream. But has it?
As I mentioned in an earlier blog Tried it, but soooo not me I'm not into it. Though I do think well done photos can be somewhat arousing. However, they do not pique my interest enough to want to emulate in a sexual situation. Makes me wonder how many people actually are turned on by or participate in the type of sexual activities that BDSM encompasses.

I truly don't think this is a generalization. Seems to be evident by all the profiles I read here. Apparently, the majority of men in a 15 mile range and over 45 years old are married. What's up with that? I wonder how it compares to elsewhere.
