Do explicit pictures and videos on profiles negate the words expressed on profiles expressing that the individual is looking for more than just a hook up...more than just a sexual encounter? Do people see past them and read what is written?
Are people judged by their visual display - both men and women?

I'm on quite a few different dating sites around the internet. As my profile says I'm exploring my options. One of the sites has 1000s of questions you can answer to help give you insight, and a better idea if that person is someone you'd be compatible with. A question that I thought was an easy "yes" I've discovered is often answered "no" by many of the men whose profiles I've read. I always thought compromise and willingness to do something to please your partner was something men would want women to think they're capable of. Apparently some men are honest enough to admit they don't think that way. I suppose it's good they warn us ahead of time. If they all did it would certainly eliminate disappoint we inevitably may encounter.
Here's the question I've seen answered "no" numerous times:
Are you willing to sit with your mate and watch their favorite TV show with them, even if it's one that you can't stand?
Couple other thoughts I've had about the male species.

I've met a lot of men and I like them. I like them a lot. But there seems to be one thing missing. One thing that makes me reluctant to want to continue a relationship with them. They don't make me laugh. I've had a couple men in my life (they know who they are) who just a smile, a brief IM, one word......can make me chuckle. I need that....I want that....I won't be completely satisfied until I have that again. I don't want to settle for less.

Don't know why I'm letting it bother me. I don't really care if people say negative things about my lifestyle, moral fortitude or even my appearance. But I pride myself on being friendly and non-judgmental so when someone doesn't think I'm a nice person....that gets to me. I recently received an email from someone who I think I might have chatted with in a chatroom. I don't recall having any personal conversations with him or meeting him. I often don't even reply to emails if they're from someone I don't have any intention of pursuing a relationship of some type with and just rely on my auto-reply to answer for me, but since he seemed to be someone who I've conversed with I figured...what the heck, I'd respond.. I thought I did it in a pretty friendly way. And now he's blocked me. BTW the photo he's referring to is me with a cock in my mouth 
Would like some opinions. Did I write anything wrong, rude, disrespectful? I usually consider correspondence here private and seldom share with anyone else. I would never name names either. But, here's the short exchange of emails.

I've written about profile pictures before What's With The Mug Shots, I'm curious. Why do men post or email pics of themselves frowning, scowling... with a facial expression anything but friendly looking. Why don't they smile? If you don't look happy I certainly don't want to chat with you, talk to you and most definitely not fuck you.
Wondering if men who don't smile think they look more macho?

No, not talking about less than 6 inches...I often get emails or inquiries in the chat room from people who want to meet, saying they're located near me, but in actuality they are no where close by - close by to me being within a 30-45 minute drive. These inquires are often from men visiting from out-of-town. Haven't they heard of searching for maps online to figure these things out for themselves?
As I said....just a small annoyance.

Not something I was looking for, but when a friend asked to join him & his wife at their home for some food and frolic...how could I refuse? I've experienced play with others at parties and clubs, but never just a private threesome and figured how can I pass up on something I've never done before. The evening started out a little weird for me...sat down with them in their kitchen for some food, wine, smoked a little pot, holding the usual conversations about work, , the mundane issues of everyday life, knowing the ultimate intent of the evening was all of us naked in bed.
